Thank you for your interest in me and my work.
I am a representational painter, using oils and watercolor, based in Connecticut. I am inspired to paint by nature and it's power to both calm and invigorate the human soul: something that is experienced by all human existence. The powerful sensory experience is what I try to convey to the viewer by using light, shadow, color and texture. My hope is that I can share that feeling of focused concentration and provocation.
I developed a love of the outdoors and nature from the many hours of hiking in the woods with my father in Massachusetts when I was young. Now, I hike with my husband and two children in Connecticut. We never seem to run out of new places to explore. I'm constantly slowing everyone down taking pictures, but they forgive me.
I received a BA in art history with a fine arts minor from Regis College in 1994. I’m so happy to be painting back here in New England.
I hope you will take a look at my gallery.
Thank you!
